On KRAFTON Blog, we prepared interviews with 4 teams, Twisted Minds, Four Angry Men, Gen.G and Soniqs, out of 8 global partners.
※ The interview was conducted before PUBG Global Series (PGS) 2.
Interviewees: BatulinS
Q. Please introduce yourself and your team members (players & coaches) for PUBG Esports fans. Please try to describe each of your teammates using only one word (per player).
BatulinS: Hello, everyone! My name is Aleksandr Batulin and I play for Twisted Minds. My teammates are: spyrro – prudence, Perfect1ks – courage and Lu – perseverance.
Q. How would you describe your team and your team’s dynamics?
BatulinS: We grow and adapt very quickly in every tournament, because we have a very well-thought-out system to prepare ourselves. Spending our non-playtime intelligently is also an efficient way to relax and get more energy before the next battle.
Q. What do you think is the biggest strength that each of your players bring to the team?
BatulinS: We are the most stable and one of the smartest teams in the world because each player preps heavily before every tournament. It allows us to bring any strategy into effect, to make crucial decisions during tough matches and to always fight for the first place on the leaderboards.
Q. Why should other teams fear you and your team?
BatulinS: Just remember PGC 2022 and PGS 1, we won’t cede even a millimeter on the map to anyone.
Q. What activities or techniques do you and your teammates use to boost the team’s chemistry and to keep the motivation levels high?
BatulinS: We respect each other and keep working towards the same goals. It is a simple but effective approach. We talk to each other a lot and solve our problems through professional communication.
Q. What’s your goal as a PUBG Esports pro player?
BatulinS: My goal is to have fun and do my best in all tournaments. Winning PGC would also be nice. I believe that we deserve it.
Q. What is one surprising or interesting fact about each of your team members?
BatulinS: Well, spyrro knows everything about internet memes. Me, BatulinS, always wear a bathrobe when it’s possible although it’s not very surprising though. Perfect1ks is an anime fan. Lu likes to change his hairstyle. And TheTab was a pro skier.
Q. Which team and player threaten you or your team the most and why?
BatulinS: It would probably be 17Gaming from China. They are our top performing rival who always watch and analyze how we play, sometimes play from our positions, and overall are a very smart and powerful team. I respect them for their dedication and hard work.
Q. Your team was named as one of the eight PUBG Esports Global Partner Teams, congratulations again! How did you feel when you found out about this?
BatulinS: We were very happy because we have been part of PUBG Esports scene for a long time, and now we are finally part of the big family. Thank you so much for your trust and support.
Q. For PUBG Esports fans who may not know much about you or your team, why should they be your fans and support you going forward?
BatunlinS: You can see the eagerness and zeal in our eyes, as well as the cool and kind content on our social media channels. We are also open to communication, and everyone is always welcome. We might win or lose a game, but you will never regret your support!
Q. One of the merits of being a Global Partner Team is having branded items made and released based on your team colors and concept. Is the team looking forward to having their team-branded items for PGS 2?
BatulinS: They’re already released, and you can evaluate them in-game right now. Very cool skins, I like them!
Q. What does your team do better than any of the other Global Partner Teams?
BatulinS: We’re getting better results in tournaments 😉
Q. Imagine yourself in the top eight situation with your team and the other Global Partner Teams. Who gets eliminated first and who wins the match?
BatulinS: There can be no other answer – we’re the only ones who will win, and the rest doesn’t matter.
Q. Your team’s performance seems to be improving since the start of the year. After the eighth place in the PUBG EMEA Championship: Spring and fifth at PGS 1, you took first place at The Rotation and the PGS 2 EMEA Qualifiers. Do you think the team has got what it takes to win PGS 2?
BatulinS: Of course we do, we are very united and ready to show our zeal to win.
Q. What has been your best moment as a PUBG Esports pro player and why?
BatulinS: I think I really like the moment when I clutched Soniqs 1 versus 3 in PGC 2021 in Korea. It was soooooooo good!
Q. What do you think has been the best moment in PUBG Esports history?
BatulinS: Honestly, Four Angry Men made it in FACEIT Global Summit: PUBG Classic in London back in 2019. This clip and the emotions of the fans are amazing, and I always have goosebumps when I rewatch it.
Q. What do you think is the best part of being a PUBG Esports pro player?
BatulinS: The main part that attracts me is the opportunity to grow as an esports player, to learn new maps, to compete with other great players and of course to get to know new countries, cultures, and people every year!
Q. If you had to give advice to your younger self when you first started playing PUBG Esports competitively, what advice would you give and why?
BatunlinS: Try to build a structural system for your training, only in this way you can grow and become a successful pro player.
Q. Do you have anything to say to the PUBG Esports fans around the world?
BatulinS: We’re going to our home tournament to get the trophy. Stay tuned, there’s gonna be a lot of highlights in Riyadh!
