On September 15, the PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) 2023, a global esports competition for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, will be held at the Sangam afreeca Colosseum in Seoul.
16 teams representing 16 countries around the world will participate in this PNC 2023. In addition to last year’s champions Great Britain, Germany, Türkiye, Denmark, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Korea, China, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Vietnam, India and Australia will participate.
On the KRAFTON blog, we met Team India which is enjoying its debut stage. Let’s listen to their announcements.

Hello, nice to meet you! Could you introduce yourselves to our readers?
Toretto: Hello! We are the national PUBG PC team of India, and we’re thrilled to represent India at PNC 2023 in Seoul, South Korea. Our team consists of passionate and dedicated players who have come together to compete on the international stage.
Raxial: Hello, this is Raxial. I am a player myself but for this even, I am the coach for the team. I have been playing this game for more than 4 years now along with my full-time job.
Trnsluc3nt: Namaste! Myself Trnsluc3nt from Team India.
How did you feel when you were named as a member of national team?
Toretto: Being named as members of the national team was an incredible feeling. It’s a dream come true to represent our country and showcase our skills on such a prestigious platform.
Trnsluc3nt: It was a bitter-sweet feeling, on one side it was really exciting and on the other hand there was also the responsibility and expectations from Fans and our country.
How did you prepare for PNC 2023 in your national team?
Toretto: To prepare for PNC 2023, we’ve been practicing rigorously. We’ve focused on improving our teamwork, communication, and strategies. Analyzing our gameplay and learning from past mistakes has been crucial in our training.
Trnsluc3nt: We tried to scrim as much as possible with players from other nations.
It is India’s first PNC participation. I think it’ll have a different meaning. How do you feel?
Toretto: Representing India in its first-ever PNC participation holds immense significance for us. It’s a historic moment, and we feel a sense of responsibility to make our country proud.
You guys won the PUBG Nations Cup Qualifiers and became the national team of India. How did you feel when you won?
Toretto: Winning the PUBG Nations Cup Qualifiers was a moment of pure joy and accomplishment. It reinforced our belief in our skills and gave us the confidence to compete at the highest level.
Trnsluc3nt: It was a feeling that I can’t describe.
What does your in-game nickname mean?
Toretto: Our in-game usernames are a reflection of our team spirit, but we’d like to keep those a surprise for now!
What do you like the most in this game as entertainment content?
Toretto: What we love most about PUBG is the intense competition and the excitement it brings. It’s not just a game; it’s a form of entertainment that keeps both players and viewers engaged.
Trnsluc3nt: The unpredictability factor makes the game most entertaining; anything could happen, and no 2 matches play the same.
What do you think is the most crucial to enhance the chemistry with the teammates and be one team?
Toretto: Communication is key to enhancing chemistry with teammates. We make an effort to understand each other’s playstyles, strengths, and weaknesses. Trust and support are vital aspects of building strong team chemistry.
Raxial: Personally, a team should spend time as much time outside the game as they are spending inside the game as it will help build up the synergy and bonding between everyone. Going out, eating food, and spending the most time together online and both offline creates a crucial part.
Trnsluc3nt: Grinding the game with your teammates is most important for chemistry.
Among the national teams and players that you’re going to oppose at PNC 2023, which team or who do you find most threatening?
Toretto: Every team at PNC 2023 is strong, but we respect all our opponents. It’s hard to pick one specific team or player as the most threatening, as the competition will be fierce.
Compared to other national teams, what do you think is India teams’ overall strength? Why should other teams fear you and India team?
Toretto: Our strength lies in our adaptability and versatility. We can tackle various situations and adapt to different strategies effectively. Opponents should fear us because we’re here to make India proud, and we’ll give our all to achieve that.
Trnsluc3nt: People haven’t played against us and they haven’t seen how we play, so we have an unpredictability factor.
What do you want to achieve personally at PNC 2023?
Toretto: Personally, we aim to perform at our best and contribute to the team’s success. Winning matches and making a mark on the international stage are our top priorities.
Trnsluc3nt: We want to get a Top 5 finish.
Apart from gaming, what makes you happy the most?
Toretto: Beyond gaming, spending quality time with family and friends brings us happiness. It’s essential to maintain a balance between our passion for gaming and our personal lives.
What is one surprising or interesting fact about each of you?
Toretto: Fact: Each of us has a unique talent outside of gaming. One of us is a skilled musician, another is a great cook, and one of us is a passionate photographer.
Since Seoul, the capital city of South Korea, is hosting PNC 2023 this time, there will be a lot of local fans cheering for Team South Korea. What do you want to tell them?
Toretto: To all the local fans in Seoul, thank you for your support! We can’t wait to experience your incredible energy and enthusiasm. We promise to give our best and make PNC 2023 unforgettable.
What are your resolutions for PNC 2023?
Toretto: Our resolutions are simple – teamwork, determination, and to represent India with pride. We’ll stay focused, adapt to challenges, and keep learning from every experience.
Raxial: As this our first time playing with everyone, the only motive is to give our 100% as much as possible. Put our nervousness aside and give our best.
Trnsluc3nt: We want to play to the best of our abilities and have a good time.
