PUBG Esports Global Partner Teams (GPT) Interview – (3) Petrichor Road

There is a lot of interest in the PUBG Esports ‘Global Partner Team (GPT)’ announced earlier this year. On KRAFTON Blog, we prepared interviews with 4 teams, Natus Vincere, Petrichor Road, 17 Gaming and FaZe Clan, out of 8 global partners.

※The interview was conducted before the PUBG Global Series (PGS) 1.

Petrichor Road- Aixleft

Q) Please introduce yourself and your team members (players & coaches) for PUBG Esports fans. Please try to describe each of your teammates using only one word (per player).

A) Hello everyone, I am Aixleft, the CEO of the PeRo team, and I am also a player in the team. Besides me, our team also has contestants such as Myl, Ming, Loong and Cui71 who is newly joined in this season.

Myl:reliable

Cui71:new blood

Ming:Explosive power

Loong:Trustworthy

Q) Where are you and your team members from?

Myl:Sichuan

Cui71:Korean(But Growing up in China)

Ming:Jiangxi

Loong:guangxi

Q) How would you describe your team and your teams’ dynamics?

A) We both trust each other very much.

Q) What do you think is the biggest strength that each of your players bring to the team? 

A) Myl can always be the key person at a critical moment, Ming is very explosive in close combat. Loong is experienced and trustworthy. Cui71 is a new player that can bring a different tactical system to our team.

Q) Compared to other teams, what do you think is your teams’ overall strength? Why should other teams fear you and your team?

A) Our team is very explosive and often gets high scores on a single day.

Q) What do you and your teammates do to boost the teams’ chemistry and to keep the motivation levels high?

A) We practice together almost every day. And because I am the boss and the players at the same time, I can think more from the perspective of the players. I will treat our players as sincerely as possible and make the relationship between the players closer.  Because this, PCL fans are joking that we are the “brother PUBG” team.

Q) What’s your goal as a PUBG Esports pro player?

A) Always champion

Q) Do you have personal motto as a PUBG Esports pro player?

A) Keep the original intention

Q) PUBG Esports sees the return of offline global tournaments with the PUBG Global Series. What do you expect to experience or see with this new tournament?

A) I hope more audiences can participate

Q) Which team and player(s) threaten you or your team the most?

A) It should be PCL’s 17Gaming and NH.

Q) Why are the team and/or player(s) a threat?

A) They have achieved very good results in the World Championships and know us better.  Last year’s world champion NAVI also should not be underestimated.

Petrichor Road – Loong

Q) Your team was named as one of the eight PUBG Esports Global Partner Teams, congratulations again. How did you feel when you found out about this?

A) When I first got this news, I was very happy because I love this game very much, and if I have the opportunity to cooperate with KRAFTON, I can also have more opportunities to showcase our team.

Q) Did your team celebrate?

A) No. We’re just excited about being invited directly to PGS.

Q) One of the merits of being a Global Partner Team is that there will be team branded items made and released based on your team’s theme color and concept. What are you excited for with your team-branded items?

A) Expect its effect in the game.

Q) Why do you think your fans should support your team and buy them?

A) They can show other game players the team they support.

Q) While representing your team with a team-branded skin, is there more pressure to play well?

A) I won’t be nervous, but I’ll be even more excited

Q) What does your team do better than any of the other GPTs?

A) Personally, I think my popularity is among the best.

Petrichor Road – Ming

Q) It’s a top eight situation with your team and the other GPTs. Who gets eliminated first and who wins the match?

A) Everyone is strong, but we will definitely be the first

Q) What has been your best moment as a PUBG Esports pro player and why?

A) When I won the PCS championship with my teammates.

Q) What do you think has been the best moment in PUBG Esports history.

A) When the Chinese team won the championship.

Q) What do you think is the best part of being a PUBG Esports pro player?

A) When he can work with like-minded teammates to fight for the championship, the process is very beautiful.

Petrichor Road – MYL

Q) If you had to give advice to your younger self when you first started playing PUBG Esports competitively, what advice would you give and why?

A) Practice more and believe yourself.

Q) Do you have anything to say to the PUBG Esports fans worldwide?

Q) Petrichor Road, or PeRo, has dominated PCS in the ASIA region. With the newly introduced global tournament PUBG Global Series (PGS), replacing PCS, how do you plan to achieve the glory once again in PGS and in other global tournaments?

A) We will prove through our strength that we are not only outstanding in
